Philadelphia Car Show 2012

This has become a yearly event for me and for the past few years my son came along as well. I guess you can say that it’s a guy thing (although for me it’s more about spending time with my son than the actual cars).

This year I decided to photograph the cars differently and I will call it: the many “faces” of Philadelphia Car Show 2012.

 

I have to say that for the past few years, Audi design is kicking but …

 

The ever sexy Jaguar (even the name is sexy)…

 

Not your every day sedan … Panamera

 

If you don’t have $95k to get the Porsche Panamera, maybe you have enough for their cool bike …

 

How about some luxury eye candy …

 

This is one sexy electric car …

 

And if you have Prius in mind when thinking about electric cars … you are very wrong. Check out the specs on this electric monster …

 

Sometimes, the look from the back is better …

 

I like their design …

 

And some American muscle. I’m glad to see that American cars are paying attention more to how they design their cars and not just at pure horse power

 

And some oldies but goodies …

 

Not in the mood for driving … how about some pool?

 

And my son was happy to see that there are cars for his size (Mini) :)

 

Clearly, he’s not ready for driving yet …

 

I liked the new styles showcased but overall, this year, the show was a lot smaller compared with past years. Hopefully this is not a trend. Until the next year!

Center City Philadelphia Engagement Session – Marisa & David

David and Marisa wanted to have their engagement session in Old City where David proposed. We got lucky and the weather cooperated (especially for a November session). You would not have thought that it was late November. The weather was beautiful … as well as the couple.

New Year, New Look, New Home

During the winter months, the wedding season begins to wind down. That doesn’t mean that at Jean Valentin Photography we just lay back and do nothing. Just the opposite. We are working hard on how to improve your experience with our studio, from the web site to new products and services.

In the coming weeks you will see the new look of our web site. We are working on making it even easier to navigate and find information. No matter if you access it from your desktop or from your tablet or smartphone; you will have the same great experience. This past year we implemented a new album design approval process as well. Some of our couples had a chance to use it and we received great feedback. If you have suggestions on how to improve your experience, please let us know. Oh, and check back often to see the new interface ;)

As we recently announced, we have a new house (or better said, the studio has one). It’s a beautiful, large space in the heart of Roxborough. We are very excited about the new location (1,200 square feet) and can’t wait to move in. The renovations are taking a little bit longer than what we hoped, but it’s all worth it. Bellow are a couple of images of the shooting room: as it was before the renovations started and one taken during the work that’s been done (you will have to wait until the open house to see the finished images).
