Family Vacation - Niagara Falls

Family Vacation – Niagara Falls

We decided to take the kids for a short vacation before they started the school (especially since we didn’t have a real vacation this year due to weddings). We decided to go to Niagara Falls since it’s fairly close (only 7 hours driving) and it’s been a while since we were there (last time it was 16 years ago).

We started with the boat tour under the falls (see the video at the end). The kids LOVED it.

The better half … and my wife 🙂 … kidding, kidding honey … my better half and I

Horse Shoe Falls on the Canadian side … we will be on that boat shortly …

The American falls … the location of the 1953 movie “Niagara”, featuring Marilyn Monroe

The Observation Tower

On the Maid of the Mist ….

And behind the falls tour

We later walked around and went to see the 4D movie; 3D with some water splashing on you … (honestly, it was not worth the money)

For the evening we had reservations to the revolving restaurant at the top of the Skylon. The view is from up there. On the way to the restaurant, Jay Cochrane was skywalking between the Skylon and Hilton hotel.

After the dinner we went on the observation deck for some nice perspective of the falls …

And ended the day with some fun time and a ride on the Ferris wheel.

And here is a short video with the tour on the Niagara.

The next entry will be the water theme of the vacation 🙂
