LETTERS FROM YOU - KATE & MICHAEL

LETTERS FROM YOU – KATE & MICHAEL

I photographed Kate and Michael’s wedding back in 2009 (you can see some images here). I wanted to share with you the letter that I received from them. Partly because I want to brag :-), and partly because it shows the connection I have as a photographer with the couples that trust me to capture their wedding day. Bellow is an excerpt from the letter:

“Dear Valentin,
Thank you so much for our AMAZING album proof.  With each turn of the page, we are taken right back to the very moment you captured with your lens.
When engaged couples choose a photographer, rarely do they consider the photographer as a key personality that will be sharing many personal moments with them on their wedding day- a day that means so much to so many…Rather they focus solely on the pictures the photographer will take.  This is probably one of the biggest mistakes they could make! Valentin, your gracious manner, creative spirit, and genuine sense of humor made a huge impact on us.  We can’t imagine what our wedding day would have been like without you (or your fabulous assistant might I add!)  We will forever be grateful for going with our gut and enlisting your services.  You are a true professional ….

We showed the proof to our families and they also loved it! These images of our  loved ones  will serve to honor their memory in years to come, and  be passed on from generation to generation…
Valentin, we are so very, very grateful for all of your hard work, and we can’t thank you enough.  Please let us know if there is any way we can assist you, via letters of recommendation, etc.

Anyone who looks at our images says “these need to be published in a magazine.” Our response is always “Do you know anyone who needs an amazing photographer?”

All Our Best,
Kate and Michael Warady

Kate and Michael, thank you again for allowing me to be part of your beautiful day. Your words mean so much to me. In the coming months, I will be sharing more letters that I have received over time. Some are emails, some are post cards (I even received text messages). It really doesn’t matter to me: all of them makes me feel so proud doing this job.

In closing, I would like to share with you one of my favorite images from the day. It was the moment Kate and Michael saw each other for the first time as a bride and groom. I love Kate’s anticipation and the moment caught of Michael in mid step.
