  • Welcome to Jean Valentin Photography

After serving families in the tri-state area for over 17 years, we decided to stop taking any new engagements.

I personally am honored that you entrusted me capturing your intimate moments throughout the years. Be it when you started your family, or grow your family and any other moments in between. It was a pleasure meeting all of you and my life feels more enriched by it.

I will keep this site up for an indefinite time and I will continue to update it with personal projects. This way you can still view and share your images and I get to share my personal photographic endeavors. I hope youโ€™ll still stop by from time to time and say hello.

From the bottom of my heart, a sincere THANK YOU!

Welcome back to the second installment of Carolyn and Josh’s wedding. This is where the fun begins.

Wedding Reception – Normandy Farms in Blue Bell

The barn at Normandy Farm was beautifully lit and decorated with uplights all around the room.

First dance as husband and wife ….

The parent dances are always full of emotions.

And I love the traditions from all different cultures. If you never been to a Jewish wedding, they have a high energy hora followed by the chair dance. You can tell that everybody has a lot of fun …

… and maybe a little scared at first when you are picked up in the air …

… but then, you just go with it.

The guys at Synergetic Sounds did a great job of keeping everybody on the floor and entertained.

And a couple more portraits of the newlyweds.

Congratulations Josh and Carolyn!

I first met Carolyn and Josh a couple of years ago photographing Josh’s sister. I was very honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding as well.

As usual, we start with the guys getting ready. And as you know (if you follow the blog), I love the little moments that happen during the wedding day. They show the love and family connections (old and new) of all involved.

We then went out for a few images with the guys. I wish I could tell you what they were talking about but I have to keep it PG rated ๐Ÿ™‚

Both Josh and Carolyn got ready at the Normandy Farms so it was a short distance to the bridal suite where Carolyn was preparing.

Celebrating with the girls for the beautiful day ahead.

Right before signing the Ketubah (which was made by Carolyn herself). She looked exquisite.

Carloyn and Josh had a first look. They wanted an intimate moment to see each other for the first time as bride and groom.

You couldn’t ask for a better day for the outdoor ceremony. Beautiful blue skies, no humidity and a wonderful couple and guests.

According to the Jewish tradition, you will have as many years of happiness as many broken pieces of the glass. As you can see, Josh was very determined to have a lot of pieces … and I think he succeeded.

And in closing, a portrait of the beautiful couple with their vintage bicycle.

Check back for the rest of their wedding day story.

While I love photographing people, I also love animals and I try to get involved as much as I can. Just because you have 4 legs, doesn’t mean you are less cute ๐Ÿ™‚
Recently I photographed the team from Society Hill Veterinary Hospital in Philadelphia. The hospital is a full service animal hospital. They offer preventive care as well as cutting-edge medical and surgical services. Visit their site for a full list of services. But most importantly, their team is comprised of caring, animal loving people. I went there and tried to capture some of the services they offer.

And what animal hospital doesn’t have a resident pet? Meet Barnaby … doing the rounds.

One of their services: pet boarding/sitting.

And meet the wonderful team …

…. and their mobile team.

It was a pleasure meeting everybody and I’m looking forward being part of their annual Dog Wash. We will be on site taking pet portraits and a portion of the proceeds will go towards the Millennia Fund. Stay tuned for more information on our Facebook page.

Today we are featuring a very intimate and beautiful wedding. Karen and Matt celebrated their special day along with their family and close friends on this beautiful and sunny spring day. The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony.

Venue – Hotel Monaco
Officiant – Journeys of the Heart (Bob P.)

Enjoy these images from their beautiful day.

I really like the preppy look of the ring bearer. Both him and the flower girl were adorable.

Apparently, “the stuff my aunt and uncle are saying” is not that captivating ๐Ÿ™‚

And, as always, we present you some beautiful wedding portraits of the wonderful couple.

Thank you Karen and Matt for allowing me to be part of your beautiful celebration.
